About Valley of Flowers Trek
Valley of Flowers Trek is a world-famous Himalayan trek located in Uttarakhand and recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site for its extraordinary natural beauty and rich biodiversity.
The trek begins from Govindghat and leads to the charming village of Ghangaria, from where trekkers explore the spectacular valley carpeted with hundreds of colorful alpine flowers during the monsoon season.
Surrounded by snow-clad peaks such as Nilgiri Parvat, Rataban, and Gauri Parvat, the valley comes alive between July and September with blooming flowers, glacial streams, waterfalls, and lush green meadows.
The trek is easy to moderate in difficulty, making it suitable for beginners, nature lovers, photographers, and anyone seeking a peaceful Himalayan experience.
A visit to the sacred Hemkund Sahib adds a spiritual touch to the journey, making the Valley of Flowers Trek a perfect blend of nature, adventure, and cultural significance.
This year the park is scheduled to open on June 1, 2026.

Valley of Flowers Trek Itinerary
Day 1 Haridwar to Govindghat (6,000 ft)
β’ Check into hotel at Govindghat (1,800 m / 6,000 ft) and rest.
Day 2 Govindghat to Pulna to Ghangaria (10,170 ft)
β’ Overnight in the guesthouse at Ghangaria base camp.
Day 3 Ghangaria to Valley of Flowers (11,800β12,500 ft) and Back
β’ Altitude peaks at 3,500β3,600 m (11,500β11,800 ft); return to Ghangaria (10,170 ft) for overnight.
Day 4 Ghangaria to Hemkund Sahib (15,200 ft) and Back
β’ Altitude gain to 4,300β4,632 m (14,100β15,200 ft); descend to Ghangaria (10,170 ft) for overnight.
Day 5 Ghangaria to Pulna to Govindghat (6,000 ft)
β’ Overnight stay at hotel in Govindghat.
Day 6 Govindghat to Haridwar
β’ Drop-off at Haridwar railway station (1,200 ft).
