Day 1 Rishikesh to Joshimath Drive Day
• Start early morning drive from Rishikesh to Joshimath, enjoying the beautiful Himalayan views of Devprayag, Srinagar, Rudraprayag, and Karnaprayag.
• Check in at the hotel/guesthouse in Joshimath (1,890 m), then a briefing about the Kuwari Pass trek, gear check, and time for acclimatization.
Distance: 260 km - Drive time: 8–9 hours
Day 2 Joshimath to Chitrakhana 5–6 km | 4–5 hrs
• Drive from Joshimath to Dhak village, the starting point of the trek, and then the ascent begins through forests and traditional mountain villages.
• Reach the campsite at Chitrakhana (around 2,400–3,100 m), with first wide views of snow-clad Himalayan peaks and a cosy campsite evening.
Distance: 15 km, Trek time: 5–6 hours, Altitude: 2,400 m
Day 3 Chitrakhana to Tali Top 4–5 km | 4–5 hrs
• Gradual ascent through dense forests and open bugyals, with wide views of Hathi Ghoda, Dronagiri, and other prominent peaks en route to Tali Top.
• Camp at Tali Top (around 3,300–3,350 m), famous for its beautiful sunsets and clear, star-filled night sky.
Distance: 8 km, Trek time: 4–5 hours, Altitude: 3,300 m
Day 4 Tali Top – Kuwari Pass via Khullara – Tali Top 6–7 km | 6–7 hrs
• Start early from Tali. Walk to Khullara Top, then climb to Kuari Pass—the trek's highest point at 3,650–3,900 m. Enjoy stunning views of Nanda Devi, Chaukhamba, and other Himalayan peaks
• Take photos and rest at the pass, then trek back to Tali Top camp for a hot meal and overnight stay.
Distance: 16 km (return), Trek time: 8–10 hours, Altitude: 3,650 m at Kuwari Pass.
Day 5 Tali Top to Joshimath via Auli 6–7 km | 4–5 hrs
• Walk down from Tali through Gorson Bugyal's open meadows and forests, heading to Auli's famous ski slopes with amazing Nanda Devi views.
• Drive down from Auli to Joshimath (1,890 m), check into your hotel, and relax or visit a nearby temple.
Distance: 25 km, Trek time: 6–7 hours
Day 6 Joshimath to Rishikesh Drive Day
• Drive back from Joshimath to Rishikesh along the Alaknanda and Ganga river valleys, with stops for meals and scenic views.
• Trip ends in Rishikesh, marking the completion of Kuwari Pass Trek.
Distance: 260 km, Drive time: 8–9 hours
